Grant is interesting in the fact that for some one who is in their early twenties he has somehow lived quite a few lives. It seems that way at least. I asked him the other day how many different things has he done that he has gotten a sponsor for at some point in his life; he named four or five. The 23 year old Newport local mostly surfs, shapes surfboards, and skates now. All of them really well.

He’s one of the more genuine people you’ll meet, and if we’re ever allowed outside again I can’t wait to do more surf trips with him and work on more projects.

The goal of “OUTSIDE” was to give a little glimpse into who Grant is and what he can do surfing, skating, and shaping.

Boards ridden by Grant:

First board- 5’7” prototype quad, a fishy feeling board with drive

Second board- 9’6” Knost board by Russell. It’s number 12 of 50. 

Third board- 9’7” The upcoming  “fg” model. A longboard that rides proper. Rolls off the back end when you turn, nose rides in the pocket. Shoulder nose rides don’t count.
