Primo is Shane Borland’s newest offering to the greater surfing public. Surfing spots ranging Mexico, El Salvador, Ecuador and Hawaii; the film puts a real emphasis on entire waves. Which makes sense give Shane’s second life skating. Lines matter and balance out a part just as much as the single tricks. Life is all about balance. It’s hard not to admire this new generation of surfer that are putting their own films together. Getting a list of filmers a few scrolls long together, gathering all the footage in one place and finding an editor to piece it together and make it look coherent isn’t as easy as it sounds.

It’s worth the 10 minutes to watch one of the next generation of American free surfers’ best parts to date. Shane Borland’s effort and heart show through in Primo.
