Troy is a perfectionist when it comes to shaping surfboards and how he looks on them. Constantly making small tweaks on boards based on what he’d seen in a clip or what he felt on a wave.

He also doesn’t spend a lot of time chasing the surf scene around. He actually is usually trying to avoid it, which I’ve learned to like. Who knew you could find empty beaches in Orange County. Troy did.

Our goal with this part was to show more aspects to Troy’s surfing. Some turns some barrels. Some frontside some backside. Some symmetrical some asymmetrical. You get the idea.
